History of RDSI

Research and Development Solutions (RDSI), Inc., founded January 28, 1989 and incorporated in the Commonwealth of Virginia, has grown into a solid firm of multi-disciplined computer science, engineering, and computer networking professionals. Our growth has been achieved through an established reputation for quality, sound business practices, and professional ethics.

From our inception, RDSI has gained extensive experience in the electronic warfare (EW) systems arena. This multifaceted experience begins with electronic and computer engineering, analysis and design, prototype development, and system manufacturing of various EW simulators and stimulators as well as United States Navy surface and subsurface training systems. These desktop and notebook training systems provided Navy personnel with training in both operations and maintenance. The experience grew with the development of advanced simulation and stimulation devices with the development and manufacturing of the M/PulseTM, PC based, simulator circuit card. The software engineering program developed an industry leading, computer-based, signal generation and control software package, entitled EWProTM. This program allows the user to simulate virtually any radar signal and display the characteristics in a spectrum analyzer format as well as provide the end user with a high quality audio signal. Finally, RDSI has developed an industry presence in the installation and technical support community with the addition of the our satellite offices located in Middletown, RI, North Stonington, CT and Bellingham, WA. These offices provide RDSI’s customers with a global technical and engineering experience.

RDSI participated in and successfully completed the Small Business Administration’s 8(a) procurement program in May 2001 and is currently a Veteran-Owned Small Business (VOSB).
